I think they're right. You could use just about any kind of solar panel for this. The converter or transformer would have to be the correct type so that it matched to the battery. Probably it would be either six volt or twelve volt I think.

I do not think you would need top get a solar panel made exclusively for a scooter, because a solar panel is a solar panel and you could use just about any solar panel that was designed to charge the type of batteries that are used in them.

I wonder if they make solar panels that you can plug the scooter into for recharging? That would save on the users electric bill, maybe even a whole lot. Off I go to search for these panels now.

Gasoline powered wheelchair… that's too funny! I can just hear the neighbors… turn that damn thing off Ed, it's louder than your chain saw! Of course Ed could not hear them gripe over the sound of the chair.

Yea, maybe they ought to come out with a gasoline powered wheel chair LOL. This would re-mobilize the people that run down their batteries and have to sit out the rest of the day in front of the TV or something.

Ever since my grand father got one of these, well, he is like a little kid on his first bicycle. You can't get him to stop or even slow down to smell the coffee. His main problem is that he goes and goes and soon runs down his battery.
