Regain Activity With Three Wheel Scooters

When you are looking at buying your first electric scooter, you may be a bit overwhelmed. Where do you start and how do you know what is best for your needs? There are different features and the price range is extremely broad. Also, there are three wheel scooters and a four wheel configuration. Are they really that different? Finally, you can never forget price concerns. Even if your scooter is covered by an insurance or retirement plan, there is likely parameters that will need to be complied with. Luckily, you can educate yourself and get a better idea of what is available in the market today.

The first thing you will likely want to examine is how you actually plan on using your scooter. If you would like to maintain the most activity as possible, you will likely be looking at three wheel scooters. These scooters are the most maneuverable of any on the market. They are capable of much sharper turns than their four wheeled competitors. The seat rests on the two back wheels, providing plenty of stability. In general, three wheel power chairs support weight of around 250-300 pounds. There are moto scooters that can handle much more, but the price is correspondingly higher. For a premium investment, you can find scooters capable of between 300-500 pounds of weight. The chairs themselves are larger and the wheel more durable.

Features vary between particular models, but there are a few things that are standard with all three wheel scooters. Of course, every scooter comes equipped with a chair to sit in. However, some economy models lack an armrest, leaving the rider without side support. Also, all scooters have a steering mechanism, control panel, throttle and a battery. The weakest batteries have a driving range of about 7 or 8 miles. The strongest batteries can go between 25-30 miles between charging. Finally, every model that was reviewed came standard with a front basket, allowing a bit of space for putting personal items or purchases when you are out and about.

Having the ability to move around again is a priceless gift. In years past, most people who experienced health problems were resigned to a life at home. These days, three wheel scooters offer valuable assistance in regaining your mobility and jumping back into an active life.

If you are going to be using your scooter exclusively indoors then you will want to stick to that because they are much easier to maneuver in tight places than a four wheel unit. They are great for getting down halls, around corners and such.

Oh yea, you can get them to wheel and deal on something like that. I did a trade up like that last year both on my scooter and my golf cart and they took them both in trade.

Maybe you should look at upgrading to a 4 wheel unit pretty soon. If you go to the right place I am sure that they would take your current model in as a trade in or something like that.

If that don't beat all. I bought a three wheel scooter and found after later that it is not as stable as a four wheel model when you are doing things in the yard. I tumped over yesterday in the garden.
